I have tried to contact you previously regarding advertisements on your site. I would just like to know if you are currently offering any advertising space on your site and if so how much would you charge per advert.
Hello Linda,
Thank you for sharing your extensive career history with us, it is very impressive.
I’ve just finished a 26 year career with the military and have looked into the internet
marketing field as a hobby.
I guess you might say I’m making lateral career change as well, but will
more likely remain just another hobby.
Tony from “Sacramento”
Hi Tony,
If you do try the Internet business, do think of it as a hobby and be prepared to spend money on it. I read some research recently that found less then 5% if Internet marketers make any money during their first two years.
Plus, you need to like and be good at the technical part of the business. I’m not and I can’t implement much of what I believe will help my business without technical help. Paying for that help increases my risk and frustration because I haven’t found outsourcing that reliable.
Learn how to pick a target market and design your site around that target market or buy one already set up. I’ve got my blog and site for sale for $5,000, and I paid more than $10,000 in technical help to get it to where it is. That’s not counting all of my time for a year.
Warmly,
Linda
