Dofollow Blogs, Search Engines and Directories For Dofollow Backlinking
Posted by: Linda in Advertising, Customer Market Segments, Internet Marketing, Marketing Plans, Target Markets, tags: dofollow backlinking, dofollow blogsBelow is the list of dofollow blogs. It contains approximately 165 dofollow blogs to help with your dofollow linkbuilding.
I’m also providing a list of dofollow blog search engines and dofollow directories. And I encourage you to visit a blog several times and leave a comment each time. Some nofollow plug-ins don’t activate until you’ve commented on the blog several times.
I’ve provided the dofollow blogs’ urls instead of links. That way you can print out the list and type in the urls without having to come back here each time to click the links.
I update the dofollow blogs Page Ranks after each ranking (quarterly). If you want to get the updated lists, complete the form below, and I’ll send you an email each time that I update the list.
If your blog is dofollow and you have a page rank, you can also get your blog added to this page. Just leave me a comment with your url. I’ll visit your blog and check your page rank, then add you to the next list.
You may also want to check the list at http://www.growmap.com/dofollow-lists/.
6-09 Update Comments
The Page Ranks of the dofollow blogs on the list originally posted here in August have been updated three times since then. I changed the Page Ranks in October and have added to the list since August. But the January changes were so substantial that I decided to totally redo the list and make it a bit more visually pleasing in the process. The March and June dofollow blog tables continue the January format.
One problem with the separate lists is that it’s difficult for me a non techie to get them to look the same, so please forgive this inconsistency. Also as of July 2, almost midnight, I still need to add to some of the lists. I can’t seem to get the long lists to go into one table. Please bare with me, and I’ll get the rest added ASAP.
I revisited every site and got new Page Ranks during June. Please forgive lateness of the updates. It takes lots of time just to get the information, Then I have to check and recheck my tables before publishing them. If you find anything incorrect in the tables, please let me know.
I have added and removed a few blogs at the owners request. Because I plan to continue updating this list and analyzing Page Rank changes, I will only add and delete blogs at an owner’s request unless the blog url doesn’t work. I have eliminated five from March to June because of this.
Please use this list only to make relevant comments. No blogger wants to be spammed.
In fact, you’ll notice that some of the comments to this page are from bloggers who no longer dofollow because of the spam. I’m a believer in giving commenters a backlink. It’s a reward I gladly provide to those who read my posts and make regular comments. And I’m pleased that other bloggers agree and a trend to dofollow appears to be occurring.
However, that trend will be short lived if dofollow blog lists are used for spam. Please do not use this list that way.
Dofollow Blogs
The following tables provide Page Ranks for the 165 dofollow blogs across four Page Rank updates.
Page Rank 6 Dofollow Blogs

Page Rank 5 Dofollow Blogs

Page Rank 4 Dofollow Blogs

Page Rank 3 Dofollow Blogs

Nice list! I’ve used a few of blogs from this list with success. It’s always nice to comment and stay on topic.
Hi Linda,
I am amazed by this list of high ranking Dofollow blogs. I have bookmarked them and I will check them out and ethically harvest some links from them. Thanks

Hi Linda,
Nice list, but I thought when you posted a comment on my dofollow blog you were going to add my site to your list and also remove the nofollow attribute from your comment links.
I decided to remove them from my blog as I’d like to reward people for taking the time to read posts and then leave meaningful comments which add to the discussion in hand.

air force jordons,
Thanks for commenting on my list of dofollow blogs. Feel free to copy the list or print it out to use for your own commenting.
And I’ll be adding more to this list. So come back and check the list or sign up to be notified when I add additional dofollow blogs to it.
AZ Blogging,
Feel free to harvest as many blogs from the list as you like. That’s why I’m providing it.
Andy,
My tech guy assures me that the “no follow” has been removed from comments. He just worked on the code instead of adding a plug-in. If you don’t think the dofollow is working, please let me know why so we can fix it immediately.
I also left you a comment about this on your blog.
Hi Linda! What a great resource. Commenting on blogs is one of my main marketing strategies and your list will make my efforts much more productive. Thanks a bunch!
Hi Linda,
If you use firfox try installing the nodofollow add on. This will highlight all links and indicate in red those which are nofollowed. Looking at the comments all links are nofollowed, However if you rollover the ‘who am I’ link you get a popup window with dofollowed links but as they are behind a javascript action I’d be surprised if the search engines can crawl them.
If you’re using Wordpress I’d recommend the nofollow case by case plugin.
Regards

Andy,
Thank you for this additional information. As soon as my tech guy comes in tomorrow, I’ll have him fix it. With your instructions, he should be able to get it fixed with little effort.
I definitely want comments to be dofollow.
Thanks,
Linda
Debbie,
You are welcome. I hope this first list of dofollow blogs does help you with your comment marketing.
I’ll be adding new lists to this one so check back. Or if you definitely don’t want to miss the new links, register to get notifications of my blog posts.
Linda
Hi Linda! I believe I’m registerd. I just received a notice in my email today.
Thanks a bunch for this second list!
Deb
Thanks for listing the dofollow blogs . It is of great importance for us. How did you get that ?
Hi Jewelry,
I did a search for dofollow blogs. That directed me to many dofollow directories. I did searches, recorded the url and page rank for each returned site. So to this extent, I built it myself.
However, I also used some that I liked from other dofollow blog lists. But I checked each one and checked page rank accuracy before adding a blog to my list.
I’ll probably be updating the list soon. So you may want to sign up to receive my email blog announcements. I’ll let you know when I do another update.
Great list of links, thanks very much. I know I found it a bit late, but really useful all the same! A nice thing to start my New Year
Hi Jonathan,
I’m glad you found this page. I do add to it occasionally. You may want to subscribe to my blog to get the update announcements.

Hello Linda,
You recently left a comment on my blog, advertising this list. For at least one year my blog has applied the ‘nofollow’ attribute to comment links.
Kind regards.
David Aireys last blog post..Logo design for Giacom
It was a long time ago since I used the DoFollow plugin, I’ve uninstalled it and asked to be taken away from the blogroll as well as from these kind of blog posts.
The only thing this DoFollow period gave me were a lot of comments that doesn’t really give me something back.
It did make me feel like an advertisement board only.
I also suspect that this plugin among some other things helped Google in it’s decision to lower my ranking to the PR 3 I have today.
I do not approve comments clearly made as advertisements of their own blogs/sites, not even if the comments are somewhat relevant for the post subject.
Those comments can actually scare away other potential new serious readers that’s really interested in my niche.
So, please delete me from this list, since it would be false marketing.
My blog is NOT an advertisement board, it’s a serious blog, which is taking good care and only rewarding it’s true readers.
Thanks for informing me of your list.
Kind regards
Lifecruisers last blog post..Sangria Temptation Fail
I must give a friendly warning to people that use this list to comment:
I know that many Wordpress bloggers mark them as spammers in Akismet spam protection and when several bloggers have done that, your comments will only end up in the spam queue of all blogs, not even seen by the blog admins.
Personally I mostly just delete those comments, but it happens that me too is marking them as spam in some cases.
So be very careful with which blogs, how and what you’re commenting, try to comment mostly within your own niche, making it as relevant as possible
Kind regards
Lifecruisers last blog post..Sangria Temptation Fail
Hi Lifecruiser,
Thank you for your comments. I’m sure there are some disadvantages to dofollow. The most common being the amount of spam comments. I don’t have that many so I just delete them or unapprove them.
I don’t know that Google punishes a blog for being dofollow. I’ve never read anything about that before. I do understand that Google punishes link farms, which is why I provide the urls instead of links.
Of course, the reason I invited you and others on the list to visit this page is so I can make any requested changes including removing those who are nofollow or just don’t want to be on the list.
Warmly,
Linda
David,
I removed your blog from the list.
Thanks for letting me know that you are nofollow. I guess at least one of the dofollow directories still lists you because I originally composed this list in August of 2008.
Warmly,
Linda
I’ve added a link to this post to my own list of DoFollow links. You may want to check out the new search tools that allow us to search for dofollow blogs by keyword and verify they’re really dofollow. I used that post in this comment so you can easily access it.
There is a newer version of CommentLuv than you’re using. It allows commentators to select any one of their last ten posts before submitting comments. That is a great feature because the post closest in subject to the comment you’re leaving can be selected and if you leave more than comment in a discussion you can leave a different link for each comment.

Thanks for adding the link from your dofollow list. I’ll add your url to this page too.
I do want to check out the new search tools. Are they available on your site?
I have noticed the new CommentLuv on a few sites. The next time my technical assistant comes in, I’ll have him replace the old with the new.
Thanks for the heads up.

Linda, this is a great list and you obviously put a great deal of time in to it. By the way, I found you through a dofollow comment that you left on another blog, so the system works!
Tinas last blog post..1513 Jones Road - Roswell Luxury Home
Hi Linda! Thanks a bunch for all your hard work on this up-dated list. I enjoy commenting and it’s been a great way to build links for my site. You’re the best! Deb
Hi mmo, Tina, and Debbie,
I’m glad you find this list useful.
Tina, thanks for letting me know that you found me through a comment that I left on another blog. Isn’t it great to get traffic and backlinks for just the time to read and comment on a post?
Warmly,
Linda
Anyone leaving me a comment from one of these lists goes straight to Akismet. I took off DoFollow because of the spam that comes from having it on.
Really this crap has taken a lot of the pleasure out of blogging-I used to love receiving new comments, now all I get is ‘Nice post’ or ‘Thanks for the article’ from people apparently named ‘Best colon cleanse’.
I hope you all get banned from Google as the irony would be quite sweet.
Hi Chris,
I understand your frustration with comments that aren’t relevant to your post. I don’t like them either and delete them. You can read my comment policy in my upper navigation. You’ll notice if you read this post that I also discourage them here.
I don’t mind if people use a keyword for a name as long as they put their real name in the comment. But because you do mind, you can note that next to the name box. I see it done all the time.
I’ll check the list for your blog, http://themalblog.co.uk, and delete it. Because it’s your choice of whether to be dofollow or nofollow. After all, nofollow is the automatic setting for most blog programs. Being dofollow requires a decision and a bit of extra work including filtering through non relevant comments and deleting them.
I think that extra work is worth the effort because I know how busy and time consuming it is to try to build an Internet business. I don’t have time to visit, read, and comment on blogs for just the hope of a visitor or two. It’s not a good return for the time invested.
So I limit my time to dofollow blogs. That’s my decision. I don’t resent people who decide to be nofollow, and I certainly don’t send them ill will. I just don’t visit their blogs.
Warmly,
Linda
I understand Chris’s frustration, as I get non-relevant comments on my blogs as well.
I like to think that there are always good posters out there that want to contribute to the dialogue. In most cases this is true, as I’ve only had to deal with a few bad ones.
It always helps to put a good comment policy on your blog for your readers to view.
I have my website which I want to submit to search engine directories. However, I do not know exactly on where to start. I’ve done some searches on Google, but I only came up with all these business and other websites, which are hard to trust. From experience, can anyone please give me a couple of places to start, which were successful for them? Free or paid services are irrelevant to me as long as it is effective and will guarantee desirable results. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi Patents,
You can start with the dofollow directories listed here. I’ve also got lists from other Internet marketers that I found helpful. I don’t think I have the right to give them away. But do a Google search for directories and see what you find. Some will be better than others.
i”ve heard different perspectives on how to get directory listings. Some people prefer the programs that do a lot of the work for you automatically. Others say that they get better results by doing it all manually. Of course it takes more time to submit to directories manually.
Some people believe that the job is too large and outsource it. I’ve done that, paying around $70 per month, but wasn’t satisfied with the results. Others say that to get good results you have to pay thousands. Maybe so, but I don’t think that’s the best uses of my marketing budget.
Ultimately, you have to make your own decision. And I just finished an article on decision making. If that will help, you can access it below: http://www.strategicmarketsegmentation.com/blog/decision-making-in-small-businesses/
Warmly,
Linda
Hi Tony Lee,
I agree that a comment policy is a good idea. You should be able to access mine from the top navigation.
I also agree that there are good posters who want to use dofollow. I’m one of them. Of course there are always some people who ruin a good thing for others by taking advantage. That’s just to be expected.
Yes, it takes a bit of work to weed them out, but I believe the time is worth it. First I get more good comments by being dofollow than if I were nofollow. Second, I believe in rewarding people for reading and commenting on my blog posts. That and by providing good content is the way to build a following.
Warmly,
Linda
Thank for providing this great list what i was looking for. I just start my new website and now i’m using these list for sure.????

Wow, what an extensive list. Thanks! I just recently got into blogging and started my own blog. When I came across this “follow - no follow” debate I was surprised and bothered. So one of my first actions was to install a nofollow plugin and put that neat “u comment I follow” icon on my page. I understand the spam problem but geez, is it so hard to use askimet and be on the ball with your comment moderation? Well, I guess I could by going out on a limb here since I’m still new to all this… Anyway Linda, feel free to add my blog to your list!

Any bloggers interested in confirmed dofollow blogs may want to check out PageRush. They do a thorough test when you submit your blog and test every comment to determine if they are REALLY dofollow or not! They provide a certification that is green as long as you’re dofollow and changes to tan if you’re not.
Many blogs THINK they’re dofollow but one or more conflicting plugins add the nofollow tag back. Editing comments can also sometimes add nofollow to a comment. PageRush distinguishs between dofollow (all comments are dofollow) and somefollow (some are nofollow).

Great information for marketing. If every blog were dofollow, then we could all help each other. Not sure why people still do not set their blogs as dofollow if the comments and links are constructive.

Hi Dog Breeders,
I agree that setting your blog to dofollow helps everyone. The major reason that some bloggers don’t dofollow is because it attracts a lot a spam comments that they have to filter through.
I don’t find it that difficult or time consuming to eliminate the spam, and I believe it’s worth that effort. I do have and implement a comment policy that eliminates spam. You can access it through the top navigation.
