The federal government is growing government and helping big businesses. But it’s small businesses that politicians and political commentators say create jobs.

Yet, there’s been no help for small businesses, especially sole proprietorships and mom-and-pop businesses.

Will Government Help
Your Business?

Hopefully President Obama will present a program to help small businesses in his State Of The Union address Wednesday. But even if he does, can you depend on that help to really work, and will what government does really help small businesses like yours and mine?

Probably not. So we have to help ourselves and each other.

How Can You Help Yourself And
Other Small Business Owners?

That’s why many bloggers, Internet marketers, and organizations provide free information for small business owners. I know I started my blog to help small business owners, like you, to:

  • identify the best target market for your products or services,
  • understand the people in that target market, and
  • increase return on marketing investments.

I did my research and found a need for such information, but now I’m wondering if that’s what you really need during this lingering bad economy.

So I invite you to leave comments about the information, products, and services that you most need to survive this economy and grow your business. I promise to plan my posts and promotions for 2010 around your needs expressed in comments to this post.

You can be a part of this mutually beneficial discussion about improving small business by leaving your comment and subscribing to my blog. Just complete the form below:

P.S. I’m taking my husband to Fayetteville Wednesday for neck surgery. I don’t yet know if the hospital has wireless Internet. I may or may not be able to get online during the week I expect him to be in the hospital.

So if you comment around that time, I may not reply as quickly as normal. Plus I’m writing posts in advance to assure that I provide you with information in case I can’t get online. In which case, I’ll start providing the information that you request when I return home.

For now I want to write more about small business. I hope you’ll keep coming back and joining the conversation.

    Hi vutthynum,

Sorry, but importing and exporting is an area of business in and off itself, and I have no expertise in that area. It involves laws from your home nation and the nation to which you plan to export, contacts in both nations, and marketing across nations and cultures.

My specialty is market segmentation of USA markets. If you export from another country to the USA, I can provide information to help you better reach and appeal to USA markets. But for the help you need in importing/exporting, you need to find an export in that area.

    Warmly,

    Linda
